Commercial Solar Operations & Performance Oversight

Built to Take Responsibility for Solar Performance

Solar Servant was established to address a growing gap in the solar industry: what happens after installation. While solar systems are often designed and commissioned with optimism, long-term performance is rarely managed with the same discipline.

We operate as a specialist solar operations and maintenance company focused on accountability, system understanding, and measurable outcomes. Our work centres on existing solar installations where performance, reliability, and financial return matter — particularly in commercial, industrial, and operational environments.

Rather than treating solar as a static asset, we approach each system as live infrastructure. That means understanding real-world conditions, identifying performance degradation, correcting underlying faults, and ensuring systems continue to operate as intended over time.

Marcus van Den Berg

Founder & Technical Lead

Built by Someone Who Takes Solar Performance Personally

Solar Servant was founded by Marcus van den Berg  to address a reality he encountered repeatedly in the field: solar systems that were installed with confidence but left without proper oversight once commissioned. Over time, small issues compounded into serious performance losses — often unnoticed until financial returns were already compromised.

His day-to-day focus is not on selling solutions, but on helping system owners understand what is actually happening inside their installations, where performance is being lost, why faults occur, and how poor maintenance or incorrect installation decisions impact output over time.

Solar Servant reflects that mindset. The company was built to serve clients who value transparency, evidence-based decision-making, and partners who treat their solar assets with the seriousness they deserve.

OUR OPERATING PHILOSOPHY

Built Around Accountability, Precision, and Long-Term Performance

Solar Servant exists to take responsibility for what happens after a solar system is installed.

We work exclusively with operational solar assets—systems that are already in place and expected to perform reliably over time. Our role is not theoretical, and it is not sales-driven. It is practical, analytical, and rooted in understanding how real-world installations behave under sustained load, environmental exposure, and operational pressure.

Our work begins by establishing clarity. We assess how a system was built, how it is currently operating, and where risk or inefficiency may exist. From there, we apply structured monitoring, preventative maintenance, and technical oversight to ensure performance is protected—not assumed.

Solar Servant operates with the belief that long-term energy performance is the result of disciplined execution, not optimism.

?

Structured Oversight

Solar Servant applies methodical oversight to installed solar systems, ensuring that performance is measured, understood, and verified. We do not rely on surface-level indicators or assumptions. Every system we work with is evaluated as an operational asset that requires ongoing technical attention.

?

Operational Integrity

Our approach focuses on maintaining system integrity across electrical, mechanical, and environmental factors. This includes identifying early indicators of degradation, ensuring compliance with best-practice installation standards, and maintaining system stability under real operating conditions.

?

Long-Term Responsibility

We position ourselves as long-term custodians of system performance. Our work is designed to support asset owners, facility managers, and businesses who require confidence that their solar infrastructure will continue to deliver predictable, measurable value over time.

Clear scope. No guesswork.

We focus on keeping installed systems working properly

Solar Servant exists to provide structured oversight for commercial and industrial solar assets once they are installed and operational.

We do not compete with EPCs, installers, or equipment suppliers. We do not sell new systems, push unnecessary upgrades, or recommend replacement unless it is technically justified. Our role begins after installation — where long-term performance, reliability, and accountability matter most.

Solar Servant works alongside asset owners, facility managers, and operations teams to ensure installed solar systems continue to operate as intended over their full lifecycle. This includes verifying real-world performance, identifying technical deviations, coordinating corrective action, and maintaining clear operational visibility.

Our approach is methodical and evidence-driven. Every system is assessed against its design intent, operating conditions, and performance data. Decisions are based on measured output, system behaviour, and documented findings — not assumptions.

By applying consistent oversight, structured reporting, and disciplined maintenance processes, Solar Servant helps protect system uptime, stabilise output, and extend the usable life of solar assets without unnecessary disruption or capital expenditure.

Our Vision and Mission

Our Approach to Solar Maintenance

HOW SOLAR SERVANT OPERATES

A COMPANY BUILT AROUND OPERATIONAL DISCIPLINE

Solar Servant is a specialist operations and maintenance company focused exclusively on installed commercial solar systems. We are structured to support system owners after commissioning — when performance responsibility shifts from construction to long-term operation.

Our work is grounded in process, documentation, and accountability. Every system we engage with is approached as a live asset that requires consistent technical attention, clear reporting, and informed decision-making to remain viable over its intended lifespan.

Solar Servant

Built for Long-Term Asset Stewardship

Solar Servant exists to support solar assets after installation, where responsibility shifts from construction to sustained operation. Our role is to provide structured oversight that protects system integrity, operational safety, and long-term value.

We approach every system as a working infrastructure asset — not a one-time project — requiring consistent review, documented processes, and informed intervention over its operational life.

System-Led, Not Template-Driven

Solar Servant does not apply one-size-fits-all methodologies. Each system is evaluated within its own technical, environmental, and operational context.

Our internal processes are designed to adapt to system design, scale, usage profile, and site conditions — allowing us to make decisions based on real system behaviour rather than assumptions or generic maintenance schedules.

Experience Grounded in Operational Reality

Our expertise is built on working with installed commercial solar systems over time — including those that have aged, changed load profiles, or outlived original maintenance assumptions.

This operational exposure informs how we assess risk, prioritise actions, and guide system owners with practical, evidence-based insight that supports stability and informed planning.

Solar Servant

Know About Who We Are

Solar Servant is an operational partner for installed solar assets

Solar Servant was established to fill a critical gap in the solar industry: what happens after installation. Our focus is not on selling systems, but on ensuring that existing systems continue to perform safely, efficiently, and predictably over time.

We work alongside asset owners, facility managers, and operators to provide technical oversight, structured monitoring, and informed decision-making for installed commercial solar systems. Our role is to bring clarity to system performance and accountability to ongoing operation.

Rather than pushing unnecessary upgrades or replacements, we concentrate on understanding the system already in place — how it was built, how it is being used, and how it is ageing — so that informed, cost-effective actions can be taken when required.

Performance stewardship, not product sales

Independent, technically grounded system oversight

Decisions guided by data, inspection, and real operating conditions

Protecting performance after installation

Where operational responsibility begins

Solar Servant operates in the phase of a solar system’s life that is most often overlooked: long-term operation. Once a system has been installed and commissioned, ongoing performance depends on how well it is monitored, maintained, and managed over time.

We exist to provide structured, technical oversight for installed solar systems. This includes understanding how systems perform in real operating environments, identifying emerging risks early, and ensuring that systems continue to operate within safe and efficient parameters.

Our role is not to replace installers or suppliers, but to act as an independent, technically grounded partner focused on system integrity, performance continuity, and asset protection.

From performance monitoring and preventative maintenance to fault investigation and corrective guidance, Solar Servant works with existing infrastructure to ensure systems operate as intended — efficiently, safely, and predictably — without unnecessary intervention or premature replacement.
